Overleaf underwent scheduled enhancement on Thursday, January 29, 2026. With this update, Overleaf users can now create more accessible PDFs using LaTeX. These PDFs can include built-in accessibility structures (often called “PDF tags”) that help screen readers navigate the document and ensure headings, lists, and tables are read in the correct order. This update makes it easier to produce PDFs that are more usable for people who rely on assistive technology and helps reduce the amount of manual remediation needed after a PDF is created.
