Impact underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, September 15, 2025. With this update, Turnitin users will see a pop-up message during the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 terms informing them that the Similarity Report has been updated and is available to use. 

Impact underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. With this update, anyone in an ENGR course who has the +People button in Bruin Learn will now see a message when attempting to manually add a user to their course site. 

Panopto underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. With this update, the BruinCast team will transition from Kaltura to Panopto for lecture capture beginning in Fall 2025.

Bruin Learn underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. With this update, the “New Course and User Analytics”  feature option has been renamed to “Course and User Analytics”. Additionally, within courses, the “New Analytics” label is now updated to “Course Analytics”.

Bruin Learn underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. With this update, instructors can enable the Detect Multiple Sessions setting in New Quizzes to track if students access a quiz from multiple devices or browsers. 

Hypothesis underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. With this update, the Hypothesis social annotation tool in Bruin Learn now supports image annotation. Users can create area selections or pins over images to indicate the specific part of a document their annotation references. 

Turnitin and Gradescope underwent scheduled maintenance on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm PTD. During this time, several Turnitin services were unavailable.

Bruin Learn underwent scheduled enhancement on Saturday, July 19, 2025. With this update, when the Use Dyslexia Friendly Font option is enabled in User Settings, the Canvas interface and the Rich Content Editor will display text using the OpenDyslexic font by default. 

Kaltura underwent scheduled enhancement on Friday, June 20, 2025. With this update, the Kaltura V7 Player replaced the old V2 Player, bringing several improvements for a better user experience. 

W.W. Norton will undergo scheduled enhancement in Summer 2025. With this update, the Bruin Learn publisher integration for W.W. Norton will be upgraded from Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) version 1.1 to 1.3. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Saturday, July 19, 2025. With this update, there were key updates to the redesigned File page.

Ally underwent scheduled enhancement on Friday, June 20, 2025. With this update, an Ally feature that was not initially enabled during the LMS transformation project is now activated. Enabling the Access Instructor Feedback from the Institution Report" feature allows administrators to open the Instructor Feedback panel directly from the Institutional Report.

With this update, additional Ally features were enabled that were not available when Ally was first launched during the LMS transformation project. The AI Generation of Alternative Descriptions for Images feature provides instructors and administrators with AI-powered suggestions to help them create alternative text for images.

The “Score Indicators in All Courses for Administrators” feature will allow administrators to see Ally accessibility scores even in courses where Ally is not enabled through the Ally Configuration UI.

The Instructor Feedback for WYSIWYG Content feature provides an accessibility score directly within the Rich Content Editor (RCE), helping instructors identify and fix issues such as low color contrast, missing image descriptions, and missing table headers.

The Course Accessibility Report scans course materials—including documents, images, and HTML content—and generates an overall accessibility score for the course. 

Turnitin underwent scheduled enhancement during the week of Tuesday, June 17, 2025.  With this update, the “Institution Paper Repository” will be enabled in Turnitin.

Overleaf underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. With this update, single sign-on (SSO) issues for Overleaf accounts using personal email addresses will be resolved.
