Bruin Learn / Canvas will undergo scheduled enhancement on Monday, March 23, 2026. With this update, TA sites for officially cross-listed courses (M or C courses) in Bruin Learn will be automatically cross-listed through the Instructor Hub. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas will undergo scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. With this update, instead of loading in a separate window within a page, New Quizzes will run directly within Canvas.

Turnitin will undergo scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. With this update, Turnitin’s Enhanced Similarity Report will become the default view for instructors and students beginning Spring 2026, rather than an optional setting.

Peerceptiv underwent scheduled enhancement on Saturday, February 21, 2026. With this update, text submission enhancements have been introduced, including rich text editing capabilities, autosave for students, and version history playback for instructors. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Saturday, February 21, 2026. With this update, instructors can export New Quizzes survey responses to a CSV file that includes the respondent name for non-anonymous surveys, submission timestamp, question text, and all answers for every question type.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. With this update, similar to Main Campus enrollments, if a UNEX student has both a LEC and a secondary section enrollment (such as a DIS), enrollment services will no longer stack the enrollments and will instead enroll the student only in the secondary section.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. With this update, UNEX students have been added to an existing report that identifies students who have a UID but have not yet created a corresponding UCLA Logon ID.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. With this update, our integration services running on Node.js will be upgraded from version 20.x.x to 22.x.x prior to deprecation. 

Kaltura underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, February 2, 2026. With this update, media owners can upload Extended Audio Description (EAD) files directly to their media in Kaltura.

Responsus underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, February 2, 2026. With this update, Respondus Monitor now supports a second camera, providing an additional video angle during exams. 

Overleaf underwent scheduled enhancement on Thursday, January 29, 2026. With this update, Overleaf users can now create more accessible PDFs using LaTeX. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. With this update, the setting that prevents students from generating their own API keys has been enabled. 

Perusall underwent scheduled enhancement on Saturday, January 3, 2026. With this update, new group settings in Perusall allow instructors to apply different group sets to different assignments or pieces of content.

Turnitin Clarity underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, December 1, 2025. With this update, the Bruin Learn CoE will continue exploring Turnitin Clarity through the Spring 2026 academic term to evaluate its ability to provide instructors with deeper insight into the student writing process and to support responsible student engagement with generative AI within writing assignments. 

Turnitin and Gradescope underwent scheduled maintenance on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm PT. During this time, several Turnitin and Gradescope features were unavailable.

Bruin Learn / Canvas LMS experienced a service incident between January 2024 and July 2025. During this period, a configuration processing discrepancy associated with the Roll Call Attendance tool occurred for institutions using the Canvas LMS, and the “do not count toward the final grade” setting was not correctly copied from Roll Call to Canvas. As a result, Roll Call did not properly apply attendance scores to the final grade in the Canvas Gradebook. 

Turnitin and Gradescope underwent scheduled maintenance on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm PT. During this time, several Turnitin and Gradescope features were unavailable.

Impact underwent scheduled enhancement in Fall 2025 and beyond. With this update, as part of the Fall 2025 Impact project, several new functionalities and resources have been added to support users in Bruin Learn.
