UCLA is launching a PDF remediation tool in Summer 2026 to help instructors and staff improve the accessibility of PDF documents. Users will be able to upload a PDF and convert it into a more accessible PDF or HTML version. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. With this update, TUT and Cross-Listing request forms were created in ServiceNow to automatically generate tickets and collect all required information needed to process requests. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. With this update, Enhanced Rubrics introduces drag-and-drop functionality, improved visibility into where rubrics are being used, new preview options that reduce scrolling during grading, rubric import and export capabilities, and the ability to draft and archive rubrics. 

SpeedGrader underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. With this update, most changes are backend enhancements designed to improve speed, stability, and scalability, particularly for large-enrollment courses. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. With this update, instead of loading in a separate window within a page, New Quizzes will run directly within Canvas. 

H5P  underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. With this update, there is an updated look and feel to the H5P UI. This change does not impact functionality. 

Zoom underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. With this update, Zoom AI Companion and Meeting Summary features are now integrated within the Zoom tool in Bruin Learn, enabling automated summaries and AI-generated insights for class sessions.

Zoom underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, June 15, 2026. With this update, Zoom cloud recordings will no longer automatically copy to Kaltura.

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. With this update, when the Customizable Dashboard for Learners feature option is enabled, students will have access to a personalized dashboard experience that makes it easier to manage coursework, grades, deadlines, announcements, and communication in one centralized location.

CidiLabs UDOIT underwent scheduled enhancement on Thursday, May 14, 2026. With this update, Cidi Labs UDOIT is now available in Bruin Learn. UDOIT helps instructors and TAs identify and improve accessibility issues in their courses by scanning course content, including pages, files, images, links, tables, and some embedded media. It provides accessibility guidance in a centralized dashboard where instructors can review, prioritize, and rescan course content.
