Timeline: Financial Aid Management Update

August 2024Final Year of Mainframe ProcessingAcademic Year 2024–25 is the final financial aid year processed using the FAM system.
November 2025Mainframe Data Maintenance BeginsFAM maintenance continues in order to preserve necessary data from previous aid years.

January 2025
  • Bruin Financial Aid system begins to import and process Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) data from federal government systems for financial aid year 2025–26.
  • California-ISIRs are loaded into Bruin Financial Aid.
  • Bruin Financial Aid verification processing begins.
  • The student portal begins to become available for various student populations.
February 2025
  • Budgeting and packaging begins for new students in the School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, and Graduate Schools in Bruin Financial Aid.
March 2025
  • Financial aid budgets and packages for all newly admitted students will begin to be processed using Bruin Financial Aid.
April 2025
  • Financial aid budgets and packages for all newly admitted transfer students will begin to be processed using Bruin Financial Aid.
May 2025
  • Financial aid budgets and packages for all students will begin to be processed using Bruin Financial Aid.
  • Anticipated aid for Summer 2025 begins to be available.
June 2025
  • Disbursement for Summer 2025 begins in Bruin Financial Aid.

  • Anticipated aid for Fall 2025 begins to be available.

  • Fall 2025 disbursements for select student populations begin occurring through Bruin Financial Aid.
