Ally will undergo scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. With this update, an additional Ally feature will be enabled that was not available when Ally was first introduced during the LMS transformation project. The Instructor Feedback for WYSIWYG Content feature provides an accessibility score directly within the Rich Content Editor (RCE), helping instructors identify and fix issues such as low color contrast, missing image descriptions, and missing table headers. The accessibility score updates automatically as content is edited. This feature also checks embedded YouTube, Vimeo, and HTML5 videos for the presence and quality of captions, including whether they are machine-generated only. When used alongside the Course Accessibility Report, this tool offers in-context feedback within the RCE, making it easier for instructors to identify and resolve accessibility issues while editing their content.
