Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. With this update, TUT and Cross-Listing request forms were created in ServiceNow to automatically generate tickets and collect all required information needed to process requests. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas will undergo scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. With this update, Enhanced Rubrics introduces drag-and-drop functionality, improved visibility into where rubrics are being used, new preview options that reduce scrolling during grading, rubric import and export capabilities, and the ability to draft and archive rubrics. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas will undergo scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. With this update, instead of loading in a separate window within a page, New Quizzes will run directly within Canvas. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas will undergo scheduled enhancement on Monday, June 15, 2026. With this update, when the Customizable Dashboard for Learners feature option is enabled, students will have access to a personalized dashboard experience that makes it easier to manage coursework, grades, deadlines, announcements, and communication in one centralized location.

Bruin Learn (Canvas) access has been restored. Instructure, the parent company of Canvas, has confirmed that its global cybersecurity incident has been contained and remediated. In coordination with the UC Office of the President, we have determined, based on the latest available information, that Instructure’s system is ready for campus use.

There is currently an outage with Bruin Learn (Canvas). While Canvas has restored initial functionality to the platform, in alignment with UC guidance, UCLA is performing security assurance, configuration, and integrity checks before re-enabling access. 

Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Monday, March 23, 2026. With this update, TA sites for officially cross-listed courses (M or C courses) in Bruin Learn will be automatically cross-listed through the Instructor Hub.

With this update, instructors can export New Quizzes survey responses to a CSV file that includes the respondent name for non-anonymous surveys, submission timestamp, question text, and all answers for every question type.
