Dear Bruin Community:
Bruin Learn (Canvas) access has been restored. Instructure, the parent company of Canvas, has confirmed that its global cybersecurity incident has been contained and remediated. In coordination with the UC Office of the President, we have determined, based on the latest available information, that Instructure’s system is ready for campus use.
UCLA Digital and Technology Solutions and Bruin Learn administrators are continuing to monitor for delays or unexpected issues with the restoration of UCLA’s Canvas environment. Some third-party tools may continue to experience interruptions as vendors make precautionary changes in response to Instructure system updates. If any UCLA-integrated tools are impacted, we will update our System Status page.
The Bruin Learn Center of Excellence is hosting office hours assistance for instructors on Monday at 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. Local IT representatives are also being provided information and guidance on how to assist faculty with troubleshooting course settings or third-party tools, with an initial focus on tools that affect grading or assessments.
